A happy family – the most precious gift in our lives

Our family consists of Elfi and Christian with their four girls Sylvia, Sandra,
Romana and Magdalena, as well as grandpa Erwin and grandma Fini Mitterberger.
We are thankful for our big family and are pleased, that even now, when everybody has their own home, every member of the family is regularly coming back to the farm, where we are working, eating, laughing and just being happy together. The love for each other, our homeland and our animals, unites us.

Christian is a passionate farmer. He pours his heart and soul into the business. And when he‘s not doing his rounds at the farm, in the barn, in the field or in the forest, he likes to do a few rounds on his bicycle or his motorbike. In winter he‘s enjoying the skitouring to the Nockberge mountains with Elfi.

Elfi is the sunshine here at the Ottingerhof. Very often, you can already hear here laughter early in the morning. She‘s lovingly taking care of the house and the farm. In the summertime, when flowers bloom allover the place, she enjoys planting different vegetable and herb varieties in the garden. She loves chatting with our guests and indulging them with a piece of freshly baked cake.

The four girls have a tight connection to the family and to the farm and are coming home whenever possible. Sylvia is a Psychologist, living and working in Innsbruck. Sandra, after multiple long stays abroad, decided to start studying hotel management in the Netherlands and is now working in the family business. Romana is a social pedagogue and lives in the neighboring town. Magdalena is the chick in the family. She‘s visiting a higher education school and is on the way of getting her degree.

Grandma and grandpa live at the farm too, which makes us all very happy. Especially for us grandchildren, it is a great gift to be able to grow up with our grandparents. Grandpa still spends his time in the barn daily and is encouraging us energetically. Even grandma is helping wherever she can, and likes to cook porridge and buckwheat for us. We are thankful to be able to live and work in this beautiful place with our entire family. And we are looking forward to share a little piece of this heaven with you, our guests.
